HGI KONYA HAS OPENED!

Garden Inn Hotel of Hilton second in Turkey has been put into service in Konya. Hotel, opened by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, shall provide service with its 210 rooms. In the ceremony attended by Vice President Responsible of Hilton European Operations Didier Martin , President of Kosifler Board of Directors Hasan Kosif and Vice President of Kosifler Board of Directors Süleymen Kosif; Erdoğan said "We are having difficulty in finding people who are willing to invest in Istanbul. However, religious tourism of Konya is very strong. I believe that Hilton Garden Inn will be full of customers in Konya."

The exhibition and symposium titled "Ceramic Master Sıtkı Olçar and His contributions to Kütahya Ceramics" has been organized for world-famous ceramic master Sıtkı Olçar in Hilton Garden Inn Kütahya between 23-25 September 2010. The event organized with the main sponsorship of Kosifler Group and with the support of KÜSAV (Foundation for Preservation of Cultural and Artistic Assets) took place with the participation of important names from art, academy, politics, business world and media. This highly exclusive event consisting of an exhibition and symposium took place with the participations of many important names such as Marketing Director of Kosifler Group Hilal Kosif, Semahat Arsel, KÜSAV President Çiğdem Simayi, Deputy Chairman of Directors' Board of Koç Holding and Head of Energy Group Ömer Koç, Sabancı Museum Director Nazan Ölçer. Sıtkı Ölçer whose work receives high attention in Japan gave his horse figured work which he especially designed for his fellow worker Japanese Yoshiyuki Matsuo -since it is "Horse Year" in Japan and both the birthday and wedding anniversary of Matsuo were on the same day- as a gift.

In the opening, Japanese Yoshiyuki Matsuo fellow worker of Sıtkı Olçar gifted a peony patterned plate which he made and a ceramic doll especially made by the his mother-in-law for Master Sıtkı.
